Stonehenge - August 2006

Well, Carla came to visit for 2 weeks and whilst here became the sightseeing queen of the world! Melissa, Austin and I took her to Bath and Stonehenge and other local points of interest. Poor Jacob was away and was unable to come with us ... :( It seems like when we decide to play the tourist, he is away!

As you can see, the weather wasn't the sunniest when we went - we didn't get rained on, though! I take better pictues when it's cloudy out, anyway.

When I take pictures, I sometimes add a quirky little twist to them. For me, it gives the picture a little bit of va-va-va-voom! :)

Service Project - September 2006

On Saturday, we were to travel to Norwich to do a service project for our church, but seeing the kids and I weren't feeling up to a trip (chest colds, you know), we decided to do a local service project.
We went to an old cemetery in Mildenhall village (aka Mildenhall High Town) and had a great day out! We went with our friends Maaret and her daughter Maggie and Ang and Josh. Clearing away the vines from the grave markers was hard work and the children went around and picked up rubbish (still notice the British accent). We celebrated a job well done by going to a Chinese eatery...yum, yum!
I must admit, viewing all of the names and dates of the dearly departed makes me want to become more of a genealogy enthusiast! Good times were had by all!

We have been here for a year (this time around) and will be staying until summer 2008. Please keep checking back for any updates and pictures! We love to hear from friends and family!
