Lavenham, revisited

Ah, Lavenham. One of my most favorite-est places. Like Kebra said, "it's exactly what you picture an English village would look like." JerryLynn, Kebra, Jane, Jacob and myself browsed around the town and braved the weather - it was windy and it rained on and off - hence my getting strep throat, I'm sure. Here are some of the highlights of Lavenham...(check out the milk bottles on the front porch ... aawwww.) I'm trying to take some pictures that aren't the same from past visits.

Oh, and we had lunch at the Tickle Manor (est. 1532) where they have renamed the tea room to "Tickled Pink" ... rude. Oh, and just a suggestion, when going tinkle on the potty at the Tickle Manor, watch your head. You're welcome.

Happy FROZY Easter
Easter came early this year but the snow came late! Two days after the 1st day of Spring, Mother Nature decided to bless us with some snow! On Easter! How cool is that?! We HAD to play the "hot/cold" game before going to church - which put us a bit behind but the children were willing to sacrifice ...
Well, it took an hour to get to church this morning - I was stuck behind some REALLY slow traffic ... I mean, come on! There is snow, true, but 15 mph was a little ridiculous! So, I took some pictures whilst driving - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.

It's a classic "do as I say, not as I do" situation. I notice that in the picture I am uploading, there is NO car ahead of me - I believe I am delusional.
I had Melissa take a picture of the Elveden War Memorial and Austin a picture of the Elveden Church. I just love snow (this year).
Anyway, after church (we only stayed an hour - we were dismissed to go home due to the snow) we drove to Diss to see Peter and give him some Easter wishes. Then on to the Pontius' we went ... we were a little early so I left Austin there and Melissa and I opted to run home and change clothes. Once we arrived home, I checked the messages (to see if Jacob had called) and there was a message from the ER for me. Hmmm ... well, it turns out the throat culture I had done on Friday was positive - happy strep throat day to me! I am a little nervous about taking the medicine - vomiting and diarrhea are common side effects. Great! Super! I better go clean toilets ... :)

Stoke-on-Trent

How many times have I been to Stoke? Hmmm ... good question. I finally decided it was time to take some pictures - Burleigh and Spode were the subject of my fascination.

I love dishes made in England and I don't care who knows!
